“Success if what you attract by who you become” – Darren Hardy
I was stuck!
I was doing all I could to move forward but it was obvious that I was going nowhere. I became frustrated, sulked for a while and threw myself a “pity party.”
My life sucked!…. at least that’s what I thought.
I was introduced to entrepreneurship in 1995 and the idea of being my own boss took hold and grew deep roots. But 20 years later, I was further from my dream than I anticipated.
I stopped sulking and started searching for ways to get unstuck. I began re-reading my journals and got inspired to start reading books again…… I was on a “book break” after finishing my master’s degree.
Two books turned me around: The compound Effect by Darren Hardy and Go For No by Andrea Waltz and Richard Fenton. I followed a few recommendations by these authors and was connected to an online marketing system that offered strategies and training products that I simply dived into!
Long story short, I began blogging……. posting two blogs weekly and started working on my social media presence. The results were great! I was learning and growing and fulfilling my desire to educate, empower and encourage. But I wasn’t making any money.
I was running a business that was bleeding me dry.
My dream of owning and operating a healthy, striving, profitable home-based business was nothing more than a hobby. I was having fun writing, connecting and adding value but I was dissatisfied. But I didn’t give up. I kept reading, writing and investing in myself, and listening to my mentors.
But I knew I couldn’t expand without a positive cash flow.
As I became more confident, I began looking for a way to leverage the internet to help me build a strong team, learn more about marketing and get mentorship on ways to make a bigger impact and reverse my negative cash flow problems.
Soon I was introduced to a group and I started following to learn more.
I was intrigued and signed up for their attraction marketing eBook and received three (3) free coaching sessions with the purchase. I was unsure about the mentorship and cautiously accepted the invitation to my first session. Within minutes my coach helped me identify one of my biggest road blocks……….. COMPLACENCY. I was shocked! From there, I jumped into the training and mentorship program and was crazy excited about what I found!!
This initial mentorship, training, and exposure turned my life around and started me on an upward trajectory. I was learning and growing and fired up about my future!
Now I can see my dream coming through…… and I’m able to visualize and expand on my goals.
So…. I’m taking it to the next level.
My blog is changing, the emails will have a new look and my social media presence will take on a targeted approach. As I learn and grow, I will continue to educate, empower and encourage.
My purpose is unchanged: caring about people, becoming a person of value and being someone uniquely positioned to help others with their problems.
