Last week was a blast!
I worked 4 long days, completed the second step of a new position I’ll be starting at the end of the month, hosted friends at my home, threw a fantastic domino party in my backyard (with lots of help…. of course!) and got news that my credit score finally hit the 700 mark!!
That’s a mouthful…..
But how exciting!!!!
I wish I had documentation, but 2 years ago my credit score was 490. My financial situation was so messed up that I had problems finding a good place to rent.
I felt alone, lost, overwhelmed and frustrated with my situation.
Where I was…. was definitely not where I anticipated I’d be at that point in my life
But life happens…..
I was down for a while but I got back up and began to take steps to get out of the mess I was in.
I began to visualize myself debt free and free to do the things I really cared about.
Baby steps turned into giant leaps!
And today…..
With a lot more to be, do and have….
I am proud of my accomplishments.
And very excited about “the more” to come.
When I saw my credit score…..
716!!
I almost flipped!!!
And that’s not all…..
13 derogatory items were deleted!!
They are ALL gone….
Amazing!!!
It was not easy, but it was worth it.
To begin, I had to ask myself some hard questions:
Where do you want to be?
What do you need to do?
Are you in it for the long haul?
And I was able to answer them and stick to the plan
Through all the ups and downs.
One thing is sure….
When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.
It did for me…..
I was open to a new idea
So when my colleague, a fellow nurse, called me by mistake
We got to talking and, one thing led to another.
Before you know it, I was being handed the very thing I needed!
Each of us is on our own unique journey
But we will all face struggles…. and we will all be seriously challenged.
Our beliefs, mindset, attitude, and desires will dictate our response.
And how we respond will determine the outcome.
The choice is yours!
“When the student is ready the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready… The teacher will disappear.” ― Lao Tzu

From the heart of a nurse….
I look forward to hearing from you!!
If you found value, please feel free to share!!!
Until next time…..
Have a great week!
