Looking back on last year, I can’t help but feel a little emotional and so very grateful…
There’s no doubt about it…
2017 was one of the best years of my life!
I became more of who I want to be.
I found my calling and life mission this year
And I found something I could get passionate about and commit to.
Very early in the year,` I was hit with this question:
How is someone else’s life better when they cross your path?
I was able to answer that question and write it down with a specific statement.
I’m a bridge builder: connecting people, ideas and resources so that a person’s life is better because I helped them make the right connection.
If you’re here, there’s a reason why you’re here.
There are people who were here this time last year who aren’t now.
They’ve moved on. Whatever their purpose, it is now done.
But you’re here.
And to me, one of your most important jobs in life is to know why.
But insecurities will keep you from defining it, keep you from living up to your greatest potential and prevent you from living a life beyond amazing.
One of my mentors put it this way:
“Your purpose is about how you uniquely serve the world and make it better in some way.”
It uses your unique gifts, strengths, and experiences.
It is something you do well. And it comes naturally to you.
At work, it answers the question, how is this company better because I work here?
In your family, it answers, how is this family better because I’m in it?
As we embark on a new year….. a new journey
Take a few minutes to get quiet and answer this question:
How is someone’s life better when they cross your path?
And once you get the answer, write it down.
Don’t forget it.
Make it your mantra.
A fulfilling life is a life lived with purpose.
I was VERY blessed this past year…
But…
2018 is going to be even BIGGER, better, full of personal and professional growth, and helping and blessing other people lives!
