It’s time to Get Mad at Debt!
Sometimes we get so used to debt that we forget how much it’s weighing us down.
It’s a new year so let’s stop and take a look at how harmful debt is.
You wouldn’t let someone who is actively stealing from you live in your basement for free, would you?
Well then!
It’s time to send debt packing!
Does debt make you mad? It should!
Think about what debt is keeping you from doing and how those monthly payments make you feel. If you’re going to commit to the fight, you’ve got to see debt for what it is…… the enemy.
1. Debt is bad for your health
It can lead to stress and serious medical problems. When you have debt, it’s hard not to worry about how you’re going to make your payments or how you’ll keep from taking on more debt to make ends meet. This increases your stress level and causes you to be more susceptible to serious health issues.
2. Being in debt affect your ability to reach your goals.
When you are living paycheck to paycheck, that trip you wanted to take to visit friends or the house you want to buy is just too far out of reach.
3. Being in debt can also affect your relationships.
It can cause marital problems, arguments with children and lost friendships. When a person feels deprived, he or she may look for someone to blame for their troubles.
Most of us know what it feels like to be behind on paying bills and concerned about having enough money in our accounts to cover them all.
We may also know people who managed to become “debt-free” and wonder how they did it.
It sounds fantastic and you may ask, “Is it realistic for me?”
It is!!!
It can be done.
Once you realize just how dangerous debt is, paying it off becomes a lot more urgent.
You make a budget.
You cut the subscriptions.
You work overtime.
You get a second job.
You even sell the car.
You make the sacrifices and watch that debt snowball roll.
You are on fire!
The most important thing is to do a complete and honest look at every penny you spend. You act your wage and spend less than you earn.
