I’m sitting at home waiting for hurricane Irma to reach my area…
The waiting makes me nervous….. just pass already!!
But while I wait, I decided to write…..
My Broadway-hopeful daughter called last week and said,
“Mom I’m gonna be an extra on Orange is the New Black!”
I was estactic….
So she then said, “Mom, it’s nothing big…. it’s just an extra as an inmate.”
What?
Nothing big?
I said “Princess, I’m so proud of you.
You’ve been pursuing your dream relentlessly since you were 15.
And although you’re not where you want to be, you’re not giving up.
You’re more committed now than ever.
I’m proud of you.”
She got it and said, “thanks, mom.”
Watching my baby girl grow and change and become…. is a pleasure.
I’m so happy that I have front row seat!
What about you?
Do you have big hairy audacious goals but they seem to keep slipping away from you?
If you have big dreams and audacious goals
You’re gonna need to grow to become the person who achieves them.
So don’t give up.
Be passionate, be persistent and keep persevering.
Keep growing and learning.
Be patient and grateful.
And don’t be embarrassed or afraid to start small.
As you learn and grow you’ll outgrow your small beginnings.
Have faith.
Have a great week!
