I got the promotion and bought the sneakers!!

A little back story….
At the Penn Relays last year, 2019, I decided that I would treat myself to a pair of green-colored sneakers to complete my Jamaican outfit for the 2020 relays.
Later that year, I saw one of my coworkers with a beautiful pair of sneakers, which she was raving about, and I decided to get me a pair! I found the perfect color for my Jamaican outfit on Amazon… but it was pricey!!! Way over my budget….. so I left them in my wish list basket and kept watching the price.
Fast forward to 2020….
Earlier this year I applied for a promotion and decided that I would reward myself with the green sneakers if I was offered the position.
Well…. I got the job!
And I bought the sneakers!!
And got them for half the original price!!!
It doesn’t need to be big…. or expensive, but I do believe that you need to reward yourself for your hard work!!
