I was talking to my middle daughter a few days ago and she said something that had me mulling over it for days.
It had to do with the status of our relationship and her desire for us to be closer as a family.
I really appreciated our talk.
It got me thinking about the status of the other areas of my life that could be better.
The truth is, from time to time we need to reevaluate the things that are important to us.
And when you do, don’t look for easy answers.
This is the time for some hard questions and deep soul searching.
Here are a few questions to help get you started:
- Are you currently pursuing your dream? If not, why not?
- Is there something that you can do differently to get a better outcome?
- Are you spending time in ways that aren’t really you?
- How is your work-life balance?
- Do you spend enough quality time with your family and friends?
- Is your work fulfilling?
- What feelings are you repressing because you’re afraid to express them?
- What friendships have you let slip away that you’d like to maintain?
- Who/what are you giving your time to that drains you or doesn’t support you?
- What are you willing to release in order to have the time to pursue your passion, to enjoy your relationships, and focus on the simple pleasures of life?
We are all a work in progress, but never stop working on yourself otherwise you’ll end up somewhere you never intended to be.
Reevaluate and take control of your life today.
“It’s one thing to set a goal. It’s another, however, when you get so caught up in the details that you neglect to review your progress. Reevaluation enables you to improve your aim to ensure you hit your target.”
