Last week was memorable for me.
I celebrated 2 years of blogging consistently…….. that in itself is a major accomplishment.
I’ve been known to lose my way sometimes (mostly in a marriage)….. because of fear and doubt.
But not this time.
Blogging…..
It just keeps getting better and better and the evolution is fascinating!
I found something that I could get passionate about and commit to over the long haul.
And I’m looking forward to more changes and more growth in year 3!
Initially, it was a lot of trouble finding my voice and finding my niche and knowing what to write about.
But now it’s getting better and things are flowing……
I still remember the day, the place and the time of my first blog.
It was nerve racking!!
I hesitated a million times before pressing the publish button!!
I was freaking out!!!
The perfectionist in me was hard to put down…
I used every ammunition at my disposal…. drew on every positive quote I could remember.
Prayed and prayed…..
But was still scared!!
This is one of my favorite quotes….. and it got me to push that button:
“Feel the fear and do it anyway.”
I felt the fear and HIT that “PUBLISH” button!
And the rest is history.
It was a dream come through…. and I was exhilarated!!
I had researched
I had studied
I had paid the money to set up the blog…. the website… the hosting… the optics….
I had spent days crafting those few lines for my first post
I had tweaked and edited….. and tweaked and edited some more…
Now it was time to take the next step
And I did.
I can’t say this often enough….
FEAR and DOUBT are our greatest enemies.
We’re the ones who put limits on ourselves.
Fearing what others think
Fearing embarrassment
Fearing…. whatever.
And thinking we’re not good enough.
Let me remind you….
You are here for a reason
Your voice matters
And your dreams and goals are worth pursuing.
So put aside your fears and doubts
Be prepared to work hard, learn and grow.
Develop an attitude of gratitude.
And enjoy the ride to your dreams!
“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence” – Confucius
Have a great week!
