We all want to live our best lives, whatever that means to you, because we each value different things……
Whether taking that big summer vacation or simply appreciating life’s everyday moments, it’s easier to live life to the fullest when you’re confident about your finances.
It’s been proven time and again that, when it comes to living your best life, it’s not about how much money you have, but about what you do with what you have.
That’s what counts.
And if you focus your spending and saving around what you personally value, you can live a fuller, happier life.
So….
If you’re ready to feel financially confident and reach new heights, start by asking yourself these three questions:
1. What are the three things that matter most to you right now?
Is it…. buying a home? Taking a road trip? Saving for retirement? or… Something else? Whatever your top three are right now, you’ll need a budget….. a plan that will help you zero in on your goals.
When it comes to budgeting, you use an app, a spreadsheet or even a pen and paper to track your money. One size does not fit all. But be sure your spending categories match those things that matter most to you.
2. What are your personal money beliefs?
What you believe about money will affect what you’re likely to do with your money.
Are you the type to spend every dollar in-the-moment, or does it make you happier to watch your savings account grow over time, even if that means staying in on a couple of Fridays each month?
To be sure, check out your last three months bank statements and take a close look at how you’ve been managing your money. You might be surprised! Taking a look at your past can help you plan for the future.
3. What will help you move beyond your current level to financial confidence?
Being financially confident will affect your mood, your attitude, your performance, and your impact.
Make a list of your goals and put them in order according to what’s most important to you. Then make a list of things you need to start (or stop) to work towards the things that are at the top of your list.
Here’s the bottom line….
We all have different goals and they are subject to change depending on the season of life that you are in.
But….
In order to live your best life, feel financially confident and move to new heights, you need to make sure that your financial habits are supporting, rather than preventing, you from enjoying the moments that matter most to you.
Sharing is Caring. If you found value, please feel free to share.
Until next time…..
