Did you know your body has trillions of cells and these cells determine whether your health is good or poor?
A single cell in the human body has 6 to 9 feet of DNA, and your body is composed of 75 to 100 trillion of these cells. The cells in your body are living organisms and the smallest fundamental units of life. They form the bricks for all your tissues and organ. Your cells are constantly communicating with each other, responding to your environment and body signals. If your cells cannot operate efficiently, the functioning of your tissues and organs will become compromised. This leads to a diminished physical functioning and may result in the onset of a host of health issues and diseases. Without adequate nutrition, the normal functioning of cells will eventually become impaired, resulting in poor health.

Guidelines are clear, people should get a cup and a half to two cups of fruit every day and two to three cups of vegetables. But three-quarters of Americans do not consume that much fruit and 87% fail to eat enough vegetables. The cells in your body need vitamins, amino acids, and trace elements to support the thousands of biochemical reactions taking place in each cell. Chronic deficiency of these nutrients frequently cause your cells to dysfunction.
The body’s basic protection against invaders is secured by the white blood “police” cells. These “police” cells are part of your immune system and perform specific functions. Whenever you have an infection, your body releases “alarm substances” that attract these immature cells to the source of the infection.
Oxygen is important for your body’s health, so your cells are exposed to oxygen every day. This exposure to oxygen causes oxidation where body chemicals are altered and become known as free radicals. Free radicals cause cell damage. Scientists believe free radicals may contribute to the aging process as well as diseases like cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
In 1956, Professor Denham Harman♦ propounded the famous “free radical theory of ageing.” The theory holds that the oxidative damage the body has sustained over the years takes its toll as we age. Free radicals begin a chain reaction that results in cell damage and weakness, altering our DNA and causing signs of aging. Some cells can heal while others are permanently damaged.
Everyone has the same basic nutritional needs, unfortunately, 80% of Americans aren’t getting the fruits and veggies they need from diet alone. Many experts now agree that replenishing your cells with the essential nutrients supports their bioenergy production and leads to good health. Food provides your cells with the nutrients that serve as their building blocks and protect your cell’s important functions like energy production. Cellular Health requires a daily intake of vitamins and other essential nutrients to help maintain good health. So take the necessary steps to nourished your cells and keep yourself healthy.
