These are some unprecedented times, and most of us are struggling and doing our best to bear up under the weight of our challenges.
Right now, you may be feeling bummed, or embarrassed or completely discouraged.
And may even be contemplating giving up.
But there will always be challenges in life…. curveballs…. setbacks…. disappointments.
Growing pains are a way of life.
I saw a fallen tree once that really inspired me.
It was laying on its side and most of its roots were exposed. But instead of drying out and dying, the branches that were on the ground sprung roots, anchored the tree, and became a source of sustenance. The other branches on top were healthy and growing up towards the sun!
Wow!!
While not always easy, anyone can bounce back if you take it one step at a time and learn to deal with life’s difficulties.
Learn to…..
Weather the storm. Change is inevitable. You can always find the strength within yourself to keep going.
Look for the lesson in the situation. You have a choice. You could either bang your head against the wall or look for the lesson that needs to be learned.
Adapt and regenerate. We will always encounter adversity. Keep growing even if you are left alone with limited resources.
Stand Tall. Be proud of who you are. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished. And remember, there’s always room to grow.
And, while it’s easy to slip up and become the opposite of the positive habits you want to create, you can always get back on track.
Like a tree, we can enjoy the rebirth and renewal of spring, the growth and relaxation of summer, letting go of the past (leaves) in autumn, and resting and renewing during the winter.
So…..
Be steadfast and live life to the fullest no matter what comes your way.
Be patient and flexible and have the courage to fight against the harshest hit.
Be ready to strive and stumble, but never give up.
Always, get up and win!
“When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.” – Les Brown
