It’s unlikely that any of us will ever be as lucky as Solomon in the Bible.
As the story goes, God came to him and told him to ask for anything.
He asked for wisdom.
Here’s a piece of the story from 2 Chronicles 1:
“That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, ‘Ask for whatever you want me to give you.’ Solomon answered God, ‘You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?'”
Because his request was not for riches and long life, God gave him much more.
But what about you….
If that offer was presented to you right now, what would you ask for?
I already have my list!
“Ask and You Shall Receive.”
This is an amazing tool that works regardless of your age, race, religion, income level, IQ or belief system.
And it’s here for all of us to use, yet few seem to actually embrace the power of it.
It’s time.
Time to ask for the impossible.
Make this the year to ask for what you, up to now, believed was impossible, inconceivable and ridiculous to ask for!!
We spend way too much time thinking that, before we can have the beautiful big changes in our lives, we have to fix all the other little problems first.
What if that’s not actually true?
Here are a 3 simple steps to help you ask for what you want:
1. Know your position. It’s easier not to be bullied or walked on when you are confident in your position. So don’t forget what you want or need.
2. Communicate your position. People don’t necessarily aim to walk on you, but if you don’t communicate what you want and expect, there’s a good chance it will happen.
3. Stop second guessing yourself. Do not question whether or not you deserve things in life. Simply know what you want and go for it.
We can’t always get what we want in life, but we definitely won’t get it if we don’t ask.
Until next time…..
“Don’t Make Assumptions. Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.” – Don Miguel Ruiz
I look forward to hearing from you!!
