I don’t get sick often…. thankfully…..
Because when I do, I get a little morbid.
I was sick recently and the first thing I asked myself was
What if I die tonight, do I have everything in order?
I was not happy with my answer, so the next day I started revising my plans.
Here are a few questions for you….
Did you set up your advance directives?
Is your will completed?
Will your loved ones know where to find all your important documents if you suddenly checked out?
What about your final arrangements and expenses, are those taken care of?
Thinking about these and making plans for your eventual demise may creep you out now
But your loved ones will thank you for it when the time comes.
Especially if you have dependents and people who rely on you for support.
It will be very traumatic and frightening for them
And having one less thing… a very big thing… to worry about is a huge relief.
So what are you going to do?
Here’s a suggestion…..
Take a few minutes to picture yourself suddenly gone…. very sick, dead or incapable of making decisions.
What will it be like for your family?
What can you do now to change that outcome?
Many people disregard planning for unexpected events because they’re “too young,” it’s “too expensive,” or they just don’t realize the importance of each piece that goes into a Will & Trust.
